Yes I'm still alive.  And yes I realize I haven't posted anything on this blog since the Reagan administration.  Needless to say, I've been just a little busy over the summer.  Good busy, but busy all the same.  Anyway, meet the highly anticipated Scarlett Grace.  Oh sweet Scarlett, it seemed like you were in your mommy's tummy forever!  I was so excited the day I finally got to see your perfectly angelic face.  And even though you gave me a run for my money during your newborn session, I will not hold that against you.  In the end I think we both learned a valuable lesson.......that you are stubborn but I am more so.  Here is your sneak peek J and P.  Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: Taylor on Day 8 ••• Erin Golan Photography

Princess Taylor arrived in all her beauty with her mom, grandfather, and two grandmothers and it was apparent from the get-go just how adored Miss Taylor already is!  Jody, thanks for bringing in your perfect little angel for her newborn pictures.  She was one of the easiest babies I've ever photographed, not to mention absolutely preciousl.  It was also great to meet your parents and mother-in-law.  I've always believed babies look down from heaven and choose their families.  Miss Taylor...you picked a great one!

You know it's going to be a great session when on the second frame of the day you get a smile and dimple!

Look how beautiful Taylor's mom is.  And keep in mind it was 87 degrees in my studio when we shot this.  I had sweat dripping off my elbows.  And she just looks effortlessly beautiful...

In her grandfather's hands.  I would give anything to have a shot like this of my kids at this age in my dad's hands.

Sneak Peek: Paul on Day 11

Meet another perfect little member of the human race...Paul.  He is so tiny, cuddly, and divine.  At just over 5 pounds, Paul's the littlest peanut I've had the pleasure of hanging out with in a long time.  And he had the most perfect skin of any baby I've ever seen.  I kept commenting on how beautiful his skin was, then when I looked at the pictures of his mom on my computer screen, I quickly figured out where he got it from.  Beautiful mama + beautiful baby = my idea of a fun day!  Thanks Suzanne for bringing your little love over.  Congratulations...he's pretty incredible!

I cannot take creative credit for this next one.  I'm pretty sure Beth Jansen was the first to incorporate sock monketry (that's a word, well at least now it is) into photography.  Not only is she my sole sister but she's got mad skills when it comes to photography, shoe shopping, and sock monketry.

Sneak Peek: Parker on Day 8 ••• Erin Golan Photography

Sweet sweet Parker is the third boy for this family.  He was such an angel baby.  I hope he is still being as good to his mama as he was to us this particular day.  Thanks M for bringing him over.  He's perfect in every way!

And I couldn't resist sharing this one of his hissy-fit face.  Notice the bubbles... Love it!

 

Sneak Peek: Luke at 5 months ••• Sugar Land baby photographer

Raise your hand if you remember this handsome little fella...

Fast forward 5 months and voila!  Look who's been doing some serious growing!  Luke and his entourage mom and buddy Big Bird came over for his session.  In the beginning Luke was a little too tense and we couldn't figure out why he wasn't being his usual charming self.  Then we stripped him down to his birthday suit and boy did he loosen up and have a good time!  His mom (a stylist by trade) brought a suitcase full of awesome clothes, but ironically, Luke wasn't feeling fashion that day.  In the end, he just wanted to be naked.  Look out mom and dad, I think you've got a nature boy on your hands! I'm running out the door to take my little muffin man to swim lessons, so I'll be short.  It's always a pleasure to shoot these kids.  Sooo many great ones from this session...I wish I had time to share more.  Maybe after spring break.  

Sneak Peek: Braden Grace, Day 7 ••• Houston, TX Newborn Photographer

Sweet sweet princess.  I am beyond thrilled for Braden's mama and daddy.  What a beautiful little angel you have on your hands.  Thank you for bringing her over.  Here's a sneak peek and your proofs will be ready at the end of the week. :)

 

In the next two, Braden is wearing the beautiful gown in which she came home from the hospital.  The same gown that her mama wore when she came home from the hospital.  I love that they brought it with them for her session!

Sneak Peek: Jack ••• The Woodlands, TX Newborn Photographer

Let me introduce you to my new friend Jack, who just so happens to be the first cousin of the beautiful Miss Brynn who was last featured on my blog.  Over the last two years, I've been fortunate enough to photograph Jack's big brother's newborn session, his big sister's newborn session, and now his.  Yes you read that right.  Jack is one of three kids in this family that is two years old or younger.  Three babies in diapers....no multiples!  If I was the mom I would be running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but Jack's mom and dad?  Cool as cucumbers.  Thanks W and C for trusting me with another one of your precious blessings!  He is absolutely perfect in every way. 

And sweet big sister Kelsey who sat still for about one nano second at the very end.  I'm going to start calling her Cardio because this little one is a mover and a shaker! :)
