My newest love interest Cash.....is he too young for me?
And lastly, just a little guy I came across while I was waiting for Cash and his mom and dad to show up. So totally creeped out! I guess the snakes haven't gone into hibernation yet. Scary!
Thanks Q and K for sharing your little dude with me this morning. He is so beautiful and I truly enjoyed meeting him.

Oh man I love these kids. I'm only showing you some of the sillier shots because I don't want to give away any that might be on Christmas cards. They are some of the happiest, most fun kids I've ever met. Not sure how either because their mom and dad are just not fun to be around at all. I keed I keed...

Oh, May, why do you do this to me every school year?! Next to December, May has got to be the busiest, craziest month for my family and me. Case in Point: On Friday, I went to my kids' school a total of 5 times. Yes 5. In one day. Why am I telling you this? Because I know alot of my beloved clients are thinking I've fallen into a deep, dark abyss. I know you are out there wondering and waiting on your sneak peeks, proofs, returned emails, etc. Thank you for your patience during this crazy time! I promise you I am working fast and furiously to get everyone what they need from me. On a related note: Erin Golan Photography is completely booked through August. If you are a Baby Cakes Baby Planner and haven't scheduled the remainder of your one year sessions, please email me asap so I can get you on the books. If I've confirmed with you via email about a summer session, no need to be concerned. You are good to go! Without further adieu, here is beautiful Miss Jordan and her doting parents. What a loving, not to mention stylish, family. Enjoy your sneak peek and your proofs will be done soon! :)

I am really behind on blogging my sessions. How behind? So behind that I got scolded for not blogging on a more frequent basis this past weekend. I was ambushed out of NOWHERE by a feisty little blonde who told me that I needed to "get on is, Missy!" And you know who you are. So thanks for lighting the fire.
Even though we're a few weeks from Mother's Day, I wanted to devote this post to all the moms out there. Moms, you are the ones that do everything to make sure your session goes the best it can. From the time you schedule the session, to all the email exchanges between us, to the time and preparation (not to mention money) that goes into planning for the session...It's always the moms behind every great session that help make my job a little easier. So today, I'm saying THANK YOU to all the moms out there I've worked with. I'm so blessed to have a job that allows me to interact with such wonderful moms who start off as clients and end up as my friends. And because every post needs a picture, here is an image from a recent session of a super mom that totally fits into the category I just described. Mom, don't worry...your kids' sneak peek will be up soon. But today, it's all about you! I was taken aback at how beautiful this one turned out and just had to share it. Enjoy :)

OH. EM. JEE. Get ready for cuteness overload. These were seriously some of the cutest, happiest kids I've ever met. The photography gods smiled down on us this day. Blonde hair, blue eyed, precious kiddos that were just a joy to be around. How lucky am I? Nice to meet you mom and dad! Thanks for sharing your cutie pies with me. Did I mention how cute they are?

Excuse me for a second while I knock the cob webs off of this poor, neglected blog. It seems as if my normally chaotic life has been turbo-charged into full-blown pandamonium lately. Vacations, holidays, family visiting from out of town, sick kids, weddings, and seeing old friends, mixed in with an unhealthy amount of spotty internet service has scattered me in about a million different directions. Reagan's sweet mama has been so patiently waiting to see these pictures of her perfect angel.
God allowed me to cross paths with Reagan and her family through a wonderful organization that I am proud to be a part of called The Littlest Heroes Project. This is a service that provides families with children who are suffering from a serious illness a photo session with a professional photographer. As soon as I learned about this organization, I knew I had to be a part of it. Needless to say, when I found out Reagan's family had chosen me, I was honored and excited to do this session. Reagan is just about the same age as my youngest child. When she was just a few months old, she was diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment and has already had cataract surgery. She was also diagnosed with a catastrophic seizure disorder known as Infantile Spasms. Experiencing hundreds of seizures a day, her little body suffered extensive damage which caused her neurological development to come to a virtual standstill. She has also been diagnosed with a defect in the Mitochondrial Complex I.
Though a medication has finally been found to significantly decrease her seizures, I ask everyone reading this to take a little time out to say a prayer for Reagan. We all know God can do amazing things, and I pray that God can "push play" on Reagan's development, so she and her lovely parents can all live easier lives and Reagan's personality can shine through even more than it already does. Though she cannot speak, Reagan is full of spirit and beauty and childhood innocence and I am so thankful I am blessed enough to now be a part of her life. Mom and Dad, I hope you enjoy these pictures. I sure did enjoy taking them for you. God Bless. :)
If you are a family with a child who has a serious illness or a photographer who would like to become a part of the Little Heroes Project, you can learn more about it here.

The fountain in our neighborhood froze yesterday. Big news in these parts. But the craziest part of the whole story is that my kids actually wanted to go see it and *gasp* pose for pictures in front of it. After I made them pinky-promise they weren't trying to punk me, we loaded up and headed out in the frigid temps to see it for ourselves. I'm glad we got there when we did, because there was actually a line of people forming to take pictures of the beautiful scene as we were finishing up. Then we all went home and had hot chocolate. The End. Happy Winter! :)
Even our friend Lily got in on the fun......
